Amy Lopez

Senior Planner

Arl Amy López holds master’s degrees in city and regional planning and in engineering specializing in transportation planning. She has experience working as a transportation analyst, intern, and graduate student on projects in California, Arizona, and Florida that involve pedestrian safety, freeway operations, multimodal level-of-service analysis, traffic operations analysis, land use policy review and development, long-range planning, pedestrian facility operations, and grant writing. Having worked previously as an educator, Amy has a natural desire to understand and meet client and user needs. She is a planner with a sharp technical sense, and is attentive to the detailed aspects of a given project. Amy's deep respect for client and stakeholder relationships brings a tangible sense of purpose to her work. She is developing her skills working in Synchro, TRAFFIX, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Highway Capacity Software, and CompleteStreetsLOS. As a graduate student, Amy co-founded the Graduate Planning Students Association at her university and served as the organization’s first president.
