Neighborhood Traffic Calming

KAI has identified, prioritized, and developed concept plans for a range of projects in order to better connect neighborhoods to transit, build a more complete bicycle network, calm neighborhood traffic on collector streets, reduce cut-through traffic on local streets, and enhance pedestrian crossing safety at intersections. KAI has implemented various traffic calming measures such as speed humps, better enforcement, and flashing beacons along an urban street by applying expected speed reductions based on extensive national research or user-defined entries.
